Do you remember the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko / SC unveiled this summer? It’s an 800 horsepower monster designed to be very explosive on the road, especially in a straight line.
As off-road vans are more and more popular, the Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) preparer decided to create a version that is more robust and versatile on all terrains.
So, you might have guessed that the lowered suspension of the former has been replaced with a new set of Fox arms and shocks allowing generous wheel travel. Specifically, the suspension is raised four inches (10 centimeters) from a regular Silverado.
Added to this are a reinforced rear stabilizer bar, exclusive 20-inch wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler all-terrain tires. There are also extra lights on the roof and tubular bars on the sides of the body. And naturally, to board this colossus, side steps were installed.
SVE has equipped its new truck with fender flares and a few exclusive graphics, especially on the sides and on the bonnet. However, the latter packs the same modified 800-horsepower V8 (a peak for a GM limited-series pickup), which is mated to a beefed-up six-speed automatic transmission that delivers 720 pound-feet of torque. 16.1-inch rotors and six-piston calipers increase stopping power.
Even though this 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko / SC is stronger than the new 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX, FCA has little to fear as only 50 of the former will be produced. The price has not yet been announced.
