The passage of a promoter of the pornographic industry in Rimouski, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, caused quite a headache for the regional public health department, which struggled to trace the people possibly exposed.

After starting his evening in a well-known restaurant-bar in the city, last Friday, David Hener then went to the bar La P’tite Grenouille.

After the closure of the establishment, the festive evening would have continued in an apartment where promiscuity would have been at the rendezvous among the guests.

Several cases of COVID-19 emanated from this evening and other parties that took place in the region.

However, the Public Health of Bas-Saint-Laurent has great difficulty in locating the participants since several of them entered a false name in the register of the bar La P’tite Grenouille.

Some people do not collaborate in epidemiological investigations.

The management of La P’tite Grenouille ensures that David Hener’s visit to the bar was not organized by her.

“We can confirm that the gentleman in question introduced himself as a client on his own towards the end of the evening. So no, it is by no means an event ordered by the bar. He presented himself as an ordinary citizen, ”says Steven Guimond Corriveau, co-owner of La P’tite Grenouille in Rimouski.

A call for targeted screening was also launched earlier this week for customers who visited the bar on November 12, 13 and 14.
