COVID-19: third day below 100 cases per day in the Capitale-Nationale

La Capitale-Nationale recorded 84 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday and thus continued to be below the 100 cases per day mark for a third consecutive day.

The Quebec City region also deplores five new deaths for a total of 393 victims of the coronavirus.

The new cases of the recent assessment bring the total count to 10,245 carriers of the virus in the territory since the start of the pandemic.

Chaudière-Appalaches, for its part, experienced a slight increase in cases in 24 hours.

The region which had 44 cases the day before, reported 65 newly infected on Wednesday.

The territory also counts three additional deaths.

Chaudière-Appalaches had reached its peak of cumulative deaths in one day on Tuesday with eight.

Across the province, Quebec has 1,179 additional cases and 35 deaths, bringing the total to 127,233 people infected and 6,710 dead since the start of the pandemic.

The 1,179 newly infected represent an increase in cases on Wednesday, while the province had recorded 982 on Tuesday.
