A New England Revolution player was diagnosed with COVID-19 a few days before the playoff game against the Montreal Impact on Friday.
The club revealed that the positive test took place on Sunday. The first-team player was not identified and he immediately went into isolation.
All other members of the first team, including players and staff, tested negative on Sunday as well as before a team meeting on Friday.
The Revolution resumed training on Monday.
The Revolution (8-7-8) and the Impact (8-13-2) face each other in the first round of the Eastern Conference.
