Germany: restrictions have “stopped” the “exponential” growth of the virus

BERLIN | The restrictions put in place in Germany have helped contain the surge in new COVID-19 infections, Angela Merkel said on Monday, however calling on the Germans to reduce contact even further “to a minimum”.

“We still have a long way to go, but the good news is that we have managed to stop the exponential growth” of the virus, welcomed the German Chancellor at a press conference after a meeting with regional heads of government.
