COVID-19: the Capitale-Nationale remains below the 100 new cases

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 remain under the hundred, while the Capitale-Nationale recorded 90 new infections as of November 12, eight less than yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic, 9,686 people have been infected with the virus and 367 people have died in the Capitale-Nationale.

In Chaudière-Appalaches, 57 new cases have been recorded, against 94 yesterday. There are also six new deaths.

Since the start of the health crisis, 4,312 people have been infected, 93 of whom have unfortunately died.

The Private Residence of the Builders, in Baie-Saint-Paul, is still under the magnifying glass of Public Health, while four new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours, in addition to one new death, for a total of seven victims.

Six of them were sisters of the Congregation of the Little Franciscans of Mary. They are more than forty to live in this residence.

In Chaudière-Appalaches, more precisely at the CHSLD Cap-Saint-Ignace, where the situation is worrying, more than 63% of users being affected, no new case has been reported in the last 24 hours. However, two deaths occurred, bringing the number of victims to seven in this CHSLD.

A Red Cross team is also on site until Friday, to provide a prevention watch and help with infection control, while there are still 27 active cases among residents.

“She will make observations and, following that, will issue recommendations so that we can be better in our measures”, indicates Julie Émond, deputy director of the program to support the autonomy of the elderly at the CISSS. of Chaudière-Appalaches.
