A whole performance by Vasek Pospisil

Canada’s Vasek Pospisil relished a convincing quarter-final victory in the Sofia tournament on Thursday, defeating Australia’s John Millman in two sets of 6-3, 6-2.

The winner took 72 minutes to overcome the competition’s sixth seed and 38th racquet in the world.

ATP’s 74th-ranked holder, Pospisil slammed the game’s five aces and broke four in six attempts. He pocketed 64 of the 106 points disputed.

In the semi-final, the British Columbian will face the Frenchman Richard Gasquet or the Italian Salvatore Caruso, who fell to Félix Auger-Aliassime in the second round the day before.
