Barely two weeks after the unveiling of a pickup truck that many call the hellish and nightmare of the planet, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, Texas tuner Hennessey announces a modified version that will become its biggest, most powerful truck, the most exclusive and the most expensive in its 29 years of existence.
Dear friends, say hello to the Mammoth 6×6!
If the TRX makes short work of the Ford F-150 Raptor with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 702 horsepower, imagine what this new behemoth can do. Hennessey plans to replace the Hellcat engine with the famous 7.0-liter Hellephant that Dodge sells to individuals and businesses on order.
Horsepower will be increased, believe it or not, to 1,200 horsepower. As you can see, it will be transferred not to four but rather to six wheels.
And that’s not all. The Mammoth 6×6 will receive beefed up off-road suspension, new bumpers, more powerful LEDs, an upgraded cabin and cargo bed, in addition to sporting a rabid elephant head as graphics to the sides. (a detail that will appeal to Dodge and Ram enthusiasts but which will leave Mr. and Mrs. Everyone very perplexed).
“The Mammoth 6X6 is a completely ridiculous idea and that’s exactly what we’re going to do it for,” says company founder and CEO John Hennessey.
Only three copies will be manufactured and orders will be accepted as of September 4 at noon local time. The price? No less than US $ 500,000 (approximately CA $ 654,000), including the original truck.
